Muting Conversations on TeamSnap ONE
While hiding conversations helps declutter your view, sometimes you want a conversation to remain visible in your list but simply stop receiving notifications for new messages. This is where muting comes in handy. Muting a conversation allows you to keep an eye on it without being constantly interrupted by alerts.
Steps to Mute a Conversation
- After logging into your TeamSnap ONE mobile app, Click the Messages tab
- From the main Conversations screen, tap on the conversation you wish to mute
- Click on the Three Dots Menu (•••) located in the top right corner of the screen
- Toggle Mute Conversation on (The Toggle will Turn Green)

When you mute a conversation:
- The conversation will still show in your main conversations list, whether you are viewing "All unhidden conversations" or "Hidden conversations" (if it was hidden beforehand).
- You will not receive notifications (push notifications, sound alerts, etc.) for any new messages sent in that muted conversation.
- The conversation will generally still show a badge or indicator if there are unread messages, but it won't actively alert you.
How to Unmute a Conversation
If you decide you want to start receiving notifications for a conversation again:
- From the main Conversations screen, tap on the conversation you wish to unmute
- Click on the Three Dots Menu (•••) located in the top right corner of the screen
- Toggle Mute Conversation off
The conversation will then resume sending you notifications for new messages.
